Jack Jefferson is a typical kid doing typical things: going to school, playing with his friends, and dodging the local bully.
Things change when a strange and menacing figure takes control of his dreams and plunges him into a strange land where nothing is what it seems. He meets an ogrelette named Fenwick Furwhizzle, who tells him the man from his dreams is called The Sandman.
Jack learns that The Sandman rules this world, kidnapping children and using their nightmares to increase his power. He also learns that, like the evil ruler, he has special powers in his dreams. Is he strong enough to defeat The Sandman and return the dreamland to a peaceful existence?
When Jack discovers that his best friend has been taken prisoner, he knows he’ll have to overcome his doubt and anger in order to win the battle of his life.
